Student On Stylin is doing something special this Spring of 2015
Donating tuxedos and Suits to young men!
Lora Brooks the Executive Director of S.O.S. gives away Prom dresses
(3 years now) to female students in the tri-state area high schools. But, this year her non-profit company will be the first to give the male students a Tuxedo/Suit for Prom!!!!!
"I feel this is necessary because so many programs and organizations focus on the female students, and not the males! We make young men feel they have to be "macho" & become a man early in life by doing it themselves"....
Well, that's not true, we have to show love to our young men too!
Both young guys and girls need to know how to dress appropriate for any occasion. And, not so provocative!"
So far, I have three menswear shops that are helping S.O.S.
A Tennessee store owner is giving us Tuxedos at $10 each,
a Chicago manager giving us "white shirts & ties" and here in NYC (PanZai) store helping us with our Spring fashion show by providing us with
"dressy formal suits". Guest who attend the show can register to donate slightly used: Tuxedo, Suit, White dress shirt or Tie at the event. We have students that will pick the suits up. We're looking for a location
(drop off, for the donated items before Prom 2015)
