Roza Khaltueva, please tell me why you started doing ethnic design?
I am the head of the association, the author of the project "ETHNOPODIUM on Baikal" and its ideological inspirer, organizer. Ethnic design is carried out by designers, members of the association. In the modern world, representatives of different peoples began to wear their national clothes more often, which is perceived as ethnic symbols that express the mentality of the nation, contributing to the activation of ethnocultural self-awareness and the rallying of representatives of all ages and social groups. This interest is manifested both in the field of science, art and education, and in the field of modern fashion, in the tourism business, and is widely used during various holidays and celebrations. The costume is the history of the people, their soul. Translated from French means "CUSTOM".The folk costume is a whole artistic image, its formation was influenced by geographic and climatic conditions, and the economic structure. All activities of the association are aimed at studying, preserving and developing the national costume in the modern world. Starting from the creation of a doll in a national or stylized costume with school students at master classes, with professional masters of folk art, and then howthe result of the work is the exposition of the "Doll of the World" exhibition. Working with students of colleges and art schools to create a costume from scrap materials, and then with professional and amateur designers - collections of clothes in ethnic style, professional display of works and selection of the best designers and craftsmen annually at the Profi fashion show / Traditions and Modernity. Exchange of experience and discussion of modern trends and transformation of fashion at conferences and round tables. It is important for us to teach young people to understand that today it is not enough to imitate the image of a fashionable top or photo model, some kind of trend. You need knowledge and skills to correctly represent yourself, your people, the origins of culture and traditions through the national costume.
You are the organizers of many large projects, which of them could you call the most striking and significant?

Preservation, development and popularization of traditional culture as a national value, a landmark capable of correctly solving all pressing tasks and problems in the modern world, transferring knowledge and experience of life, tested for millennia, to young people.
