QUEENS, NEW YORK – At an event on Friday 26th February 2016, Assemblyman David I. Weprin (D-Richmond Hill) presented a New York State Assembly to Indian-American Model Prakash Patil, an exceptionally talented Model/Actor had won numerous awards related to Fashion including “Super Model Icon of the Year” from Image Entertainment Distinction Awards and “The Fashion Icon of the Year” from Model World Magazine. He was lead actor in the award winning short Film, “The Other Side of New York”. In this Film Prakash Patil utilized his talent to display the struggles of many food delivery guys from South Asian and other immigrants by large, in “The Other Side of New York”. He also acted as First Lead in the Hollywood Independent movie "The Spice of Liberty" which is in post production currently.
In a short duration Prakash had modeled at New York Fashion Week, Plitzs New York City fashion, Latin Fashion Week, NYC Fashion Runway, Couture New York Fashion Week, International Indian Film Academy Awards preview show, Mercedes Benz Fashion Week etc at prominent venues in NYC like Times Square, Madison Square Garden, Waldorf Astoria New York, Lincoln Center, Consulate General of India NY, Last Rites Theatre, Highline Ballroom, Royal Albert Palace (NJ)
Prakash Patil is also often found actively involved in Queens and New York City South Asian Community: serving as the Guest of Honor during India Day Parade in 2015, and Judge at the First Community Queens Pageant in Ozone Park in 2016 and model in couple of fashion events. He was honored with “Global Changer Award” from When in Need Foundation in 2015 at Antun's Banquet Hall in Queens Village, Awarded as "Talent of the year" at Mirza Strategies & Public Relation Annual Award Ceremony in 2015 at Leonard's, Great Neck NY. Recently he was seen as lead Actor/Model at Music Video Album sang by Famous Bollywood singers Shreya Ghoshal and Pankaj Kumar.
