My name is Oksana Kononets. I live in Kiev, Ukraine.
6 years ago, as a result of an accident, I received a severe spinal injury, and now I am moving in a wheelchair.
But life does not stand still, and I realized that a wheelchair is not an obstacle to achieving goals and fulfilling my dreams. Now my life is active and intense.
I am the first Ukrainian model with a neck injury.
I became the winner and holder of the Miss Elegance title of the All-Ukrainian beauty contest
“Beauty without Borders 2016” for girls in wheelchairs, the winner of the Miss Individuality title of the first world beauty contest “Miss Stroller World-2017” in Poland.
I became the first wheelchair model to participate in a fashion show at Ukrainian Fashion Week.
I became the first Ukrainian model to take part in the first inclusive fashion show of the Asian-European Fashion Week, which was held in Sri Lanka.
I took part in an inclusive show in Paris. Entered the top 100 successful women in Ukraine according to the magazine Ukrainian People.
Laureate of the All-Ukrainian Prize "Woman of the Third Millennium".

Unbroken' Girl: Model in a Wheelchair
Oksana Kononets is a girl who could give you a lesson or two on how never to despair and how to work towards your goal despite it all. After a terrible tragedy, Oksana became bound to a wheelchair and yet she is a model now, she has mastered a trade and she works to help other disabled people.
