Meredith O'Connor is a teen pop star with radio-hit songs that have sold out concerts all over the world.
Her anti bullying message has been featured on Teen Nick, VEVO, MTV and Disney and has had fans all over the world claim change and even save their life.
Meredith spoke on overcoming challenges, and empowering women to embrace what makes them unique. She will be a driving force for their "Project 5050", with an agenda to attend to by 2030. Meredith plans to use her influence on her fans to help accomplish their agenda in partnership with UN Women, through fundraisers, touring, and her upcoming biopic film titled "Playing the Game".
Meredith O'Connor addressed the head council at the United Nations for the UN Women's Youth Summit recieving a standing ovation from diplomats and UN Women leaders including:
The Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations; Asha-Rose Migiro
Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka; Executive Director of UN Women Ravi Kakara, and
Allyson Humphrey; colleague in at UN Women and Project 5050
