ANNOUNCES MARIO, MAKE ME A MODEL
2016 SEMI FINALISTS
Mario Tricoci Hair Salons & Day Spas and their partners announce the seven (7) semi-finalists selected from 300 plus hopefuls who attended one of five open model calls in Chicago, Oak Brook, Schaumburg, Orland Park and Crystal Lake.

· The Semi Finals took place at The Wit Hotel in Chicago’s Loop on Thursday June 23. Forty (40) candidates walked a 27-foot elevated runway in front of judges including style innovator and salon founder, Mario Tricoci; SPLASH Chicago Editor-in-Chief, Susanna Homan; Fitness Formula Clubs Director of Marketing and Public Relations, Daniela Spade; photographer Matt Ferguson and Kasia Konia and David Love from Factor | Chosen.
· The seven finalists have been chosen to participate in a tailored training program including hair cut and color at Mario Tricoci Hair Salons & Day Spas, runway training with Factor Women or Chosen Model Management, and workouts at Fitness Formula Clubs with personal trainers.
· The public is invited to vote for their favorite contestant online or via text starting June 30. The last elimination will take place on July 25 bringing the group down to five based on the contestant scores from their training, makeovers and public vote.
· The final five contestants will continue with a shoot for a group fashion spread, each will tape their own 15 second TV spot and finally walk the runway in a major fashion show with professional models and an audience of 800 on August 26 at The Geraghty.
· This year Mario, Make Me a Model will honor the memory of Mario Tricoci’s 2015 winner, Kaylyn Pryor by recognizing her selfless support of others and joyous approach to life with a special award. The finalist with the most votes as of Wednesday, August 24 will be acknowledged as Mario, Make Me a Model’s Fan Favorite in memory of Kaylyn Pryor.
· Mario, Make Me A Model produces professional models with a greater than 80% success rate with women and men working in Europe, Asia and the US, in print and on television, and with campaigns for major brands including Mario Tricoci where every 6 weeks approximately 95,000 guests pass through 14 locations.
