ABOUT LATINO FASHION WEEK
“By Latinos, For Everyone”. Chicago Latino Fashion Week is only Latino Fashion Week in the United States and was created to support the talent of local, national and international Latino designers. Latino Fashion Week is the premier resource institution for those in the Latino Fashion Industry. Latino Fashion Week expands commerce by enhancing and creating opportunities while elevating and supporting the artistic strengths of the rapidly growing Latino market. As Latino and Caribbean designers continue to assert themselves in defining and influencing the world of fashion, the Windy City becomes the talk of the fashionistas at the 5th Annual Latino Fashion Week, November 1 - 6, 2011. This six-day event will include educational seminars, retail trunk shows, celebrity appearances and VIP parties at some of Chicago’s hottest venues.Join the Movement. www.latinofashionwk.com
Art in Fashion
Celebrating our 5th Year Anniversary, with the theme of “Art in Fashion,” Latino Fashion Week will be highlighting and honoring the art that is fashion. To further grow and share a greater understanding of that art; we will be holding fashion events, artistic displays, lounges, and a three day Expo, with a variety of creative and educational communications. In partnership with Zhou B Art Center, we look forward to having an amazing group of artists for the following exhibition which will take place all week. “CelebrARTE” is a contemporary art exhibition that celebrates the Latino spirit, imagination and creative force. Curated by Sergio Gomez for the Zhou B. Art Center in collaboration with 33 Contemporary Gallery.
Venue: Zhou B Art Center – 1029 W. 35th St., Chicago, IL 60609 – www.zbcenter.org
