JK Fashion Closet
As a kid I lived with my grandmother for a short time and many memories consist of watching her sew. Drawing was my creative outlet, later on perusing cosmetology, music and performance as a teenager.
My "Love for the Arts" kind of personality was apparent and in 2009 when I launched my first fashion project "JK Fashion Closet". There was always a desire in me to create a boutique for the fashion forward shopper who wants to look "Different" and "Exclusive". The best part about designing is shopping for the materials.
When I first started making jewelry I would go to yard sales to find one of a kind necklaces and up-cycle them into new art.
As a self-taught artist I’m learning techniques every day that set my brand apart. This summer my Collection was nominated for RAW Artist Visual Arts Show in Jersey City where we showcased our latest fashion JKFC Collection. I won an Award for Top Ready to Wear Designer of the Year in the Mercedes Benz/ Atlantic City Fashion Week 2015 (Season 7).
