Athar Shah is one of Scotland’s elite when it comes to personal training.
Respected as a trainer, acknowledged as an expert in his field and shows a dedication the body that is mesmerizing. Yet there is not a shred of ego to the man, at heart he wants to see everyone succeed and encourages his clients (who include his own family) so much so that he is being asked to do online training programmes for his clients who now live overseas.
His boyish charm made me think of those quirky and bubble gum surfer movies that dominated drive in movies of the 50s and 60s. His clean cut attitude and enthusiasm for life are addictive and make you smile, which in turn influenced the final look of his shoot giving it a slightly 60s look and feel.
Athar, who took time out to be with his family, is now looking for the home of his new gym and discussing options to create a wider brand for Shah fitness which looks to be a big thing in the next two years, building on his previous success and drive, only stopped because he needed and wanted to be with his family, who support him at every turn and are a major part of the new plans for his gym.
This is a man to watch on the fitness circuit and will go from gym life to star soon.
