Make up has and I think always will be, one of the biggest markets in the world. With net sales of cosmetics in the billions (close to that of the arms trade), its hard not to get lost in the sea of palettes, shadows and formulas, consumers, both men and women are being inundated with choices and its mind boggling.
So when I came across Angel face mineral cosmetics and spoke to Julie the cofounder, it was a revelation to me. Personally I am a fan of simplicity. Not everyone has time to spend perfecting their eyebrows to be on fleek, sifting through the multitude of palettes and potions to create that look everyday spending upwards of an hour on something that will be seen at the supermarket. Sometimes you just need a quick, easy and one stop brand that gives you the basics in a way that makes you feel like yourself.
Julie is a makeup artist and working mother so she fully understands and appreciates the pressure to look 24/7 glam in a flash but felt there was a need for something more. Hence her and her partner creating Angel face.
Angel face is a paired down, clean and simple line which even as a pro I love to see, focusing on simple and key elements and dispensing with frippery, Julie created a small line of mineral makeup.
For those not in the know, mineral make up is exactly what it says. A powder based foundation that leaves out all the padding and gives you a clean, natural make up that is skin safe. With the world renowned swirl, tap and buff application this is flawless skin in a flash.
The range itself has six foundations, a concealer and finishing powder with 1 blush and a bronzer. That’s it? I hear you cry, well yes, it’s designed to be a smart range and is the top selling colours and shades that Julie and her team selected based on sales, requests and sheer know how. While this may seem a little small it’s actually incredibly smart. No longer overwhelmed with choice you can focus on the primary needs of your day. With a few simple products you can have flawless skin, a healthy glow and the added bonus of multipurpose items, the blush can be mixed with lip gloss or balm to create a flush of colour for the lips and the bronzer can double up as an eyeshadow.
