Emily Nguyen and Anna Hoang have been studying fashion design and textiles at The British School of Art since 2018.
They have used their creative minds and designed the Vietnamese traditional dresses that they have always been passionate about. Two of the girls, Emily and Anna, expressed themselves that they love to participate in all different catwalks, but the stage they like most is when they’re performing and wearing Vietnamese traditional dresses (AO DAI), as they get to represent where they come from.
They love their countries deeply . Therefore, they have decided to choose fashion design classes, in order to fulfil their dream. The ‘AO DAI’ they have created at Emily’s Fundraising Event, have combined two hearts interlocked together to show the love towards both countries- Britain and Vietnam- and deliver the message of sharing love all around the world :
“Anyone can wear Vietnamese traditional Ao Dai, as it is beautiful- same with the people and country of Vietnam who are beautiful, helpful and have a warm heart.”
At the same time, the two designers also want to share the love of friendship between all countries in the world regardless of ethnicity or skin colour through fashion.
After being kid fashion designers in the UK, Emily Nguyen and Anna Hoang have introduced to the audiences in the UK, three collections including ‘Love Ao Dai’ ‘All my love’ and ‘Lovely Colour’ at Emily’s Fundraising event, Kids Fashion Festival International, Ever in Vogue Fashion Show, Francesca’s Fundraising Fashion Show, Vietnamese Association Reunion 10 and many more.
The designs of the ‘Ao Dai’ dresses have printed familiar images relating to Vietnam, with leaf cones, rice flowers, lotus flowers, peach flowers, sedge rattan bags.
In addition, some of their designs have innovated with the interference of texts, with deepest love for the two countries, Vietnam and Britain. They have shown the Diplomatic Relation between two countries.
They have designed the dresses with British culture architecture on the dresses, but still retains the distinction of Vietnamese Ao Dai, in these designs, because they want to give the messages about Diplomatic Relations between these two countries.
Not only have they introduced these gorgeous designers to the fashion world in the UK, and the international audience, but the beauty of ‘Ao Dai’ has made a bold impression when participating in many charitable programs in the UK, raising £5000 to support the unfortunate children for the non-profit organisation ‘Together for Short Lives’ and the £2000 fundraising for ‘Little Princess Trust’ who helps children with cancer.
