ANA RAMIREZ - PHOTOGRAPHY
Photography has become a part of me that I can no longer see myself without. I breathe, dream and can taste every bit of it flowing in my very existence.
I have always shot photography growing up, but never with the knowledge, understanding or passion for it as I have now. My true love for Photography came about after my schooling for Cosmetology in 2008. From 2008 until 2011, my main focus was on building my makeup and hair porfolio, which is also another deep love of mine. Through the building of my makeup and hair portfolio, I came across many photographers whom I admired and would observe as they shot. I began to ask questions about lighting and angles, and through this I bought my first real camera in 2011. Since then, I haven't put it down. My drive, and determination to build upon my skill only grew stronger and led me to gain a mentor of photography Rey Sison. He has taught me a great deal about lighting, and composition, and has become a great friend.
Since obtaining my first professional camera in 2011, my work has been published, Nationally and Internationally both Online and Print. A few magazines that have published my work have been; DOT Magazine, FCM Magazine, and Vogue Italia. And although my main goal is to create an established income from my love of photography, I gain much joy in knowing my work has been published and the world has viewed my work.
I am also an Agency approved photographer with: Willow Model Management and Wunder Model Management. My continued goal is to work with more Agency models, obtain more publications, and to obtain an established income.
While working in photography I have volunteered many hours to Shutter Stories Studio, Riverside, California as a Photographer, Makeup Artist, and Wardrobe Stylist. Through Shutter Stories, the owners Melissa and Terri Tippie have also mentored me in Studio Lighting, Studio Sets, and on occasion Wardrobe Designs. They are not only a wonderful Studio and set of Owners, but one of the hardest working people I know. A lot of what I have accomplished is also because of there constant encouragement and endearing friendship, and lessons learned from them.
Although I am very well capable of shooting any genre of photography, my main focus in Photography is Fashion, Commercial, Editorial, Lifestyle and Beauty.
I believe in hard work, determination, perseverance and constant education. I am easy going, goal oriented, punctual and down to earth; and believe in giving my client what they request.
