Volunteers are an important part of our organisation because they extend our limited resources by providing extra hands that enable us to do tasks and activities that we might otherwise not have been able to do. This is a story about individuals with Angelman Syndrome
Some of the experiences in the film are my family’s experiences.
It’s a few minutes long but try to watch what you can and please share, thank you.

People diagnosed with Angelman Syndrome are often referred to as Angels due to the name of the condition and also because of their happy and smiley demeanour. Please help us keep a smile on their faces by purchasing your ticket for the awards and collections showcase and why not buy a ‘I’m simply Happy’ T- sponsored by the rapper Funky DL

A quote from a mother of a child with Angelman Syndrome
"This journey that each AngelParent is on is not a tale of gooey gooey gum drops and sugar coated unicorns flying in on a rainbow. It is a tale of exhaustion, seizures, hundreds NO thousands of doctor visits and hospital stays, poop parties, and endless fighting. Endless fighting you say? Yes, fighting systems. Every system you can imagine, we fight. We fight to get proper meds to control seizures. We fight to get the best appropriate education. We fight against ignorance in every area of our lives. We fight loneliness and depression. We fight the feelings of defeat. Finally, for me I fight with the inner voices of self pity vs. strength"
